Caity, 18. This is my blog to talk about my recovery process from depression, social anxiety, and trichotillomania. And probably just some silly things from my life! :)
Please feel free to contact me if you are dealing with any of the same problems, or really for whatever reason if you just want to talk! <3

(p.s.... if anyone else out there is into fandom, musical theatre, or cats, I have another blog and I would love to get to know you there :3)

Blaaaah. Today was a bad day for pulling.

My dad decided he need to ask me openly how my counseling was going and I basically shut down because I hate talking about that stuff with my family -_-

and I haven’t really been able to stop pulling even after putting a hat on…

I truly genuinely feel sorry for all the people who try to talk to me and get disappointed and upset because I probably sound like I don’t want to talk to them when I actually just don’t know what to say I’M SORRY.

yes-butno:

Explanation: When you tell someone you’re depressed, you might get a lot of, “Oh but aren’t you grateful for what you have? There are so many people out there who have it worse than you…” etc. etc. Being depressed doesn’t necessarily have to do with thinking that you have nothing positive in your life. Depression doesn’t always come from a constant mindset (like always thinking about the negative things in your life), but it sometimes just comes along unexpectedly. There are also numerous other things that can cause depression— it is hereditary, and can also be caused by past events, etc.
I know this probably isn’t the best description, but I hope you get what I’m trying to say :)
